Construction Skills Training in Kinshasa

The Church has recently started a construction skills training course, with certification through LDS Business College. The instructor, Brother Billings, taught at Salt Lake Community College before he retired. The purpose is to teach quality construction skills to people who can then get jobs with companies who do quality workmanship in their construction. This is an incredible program and it was amazing to see the love the students have for Brother and Sister Billings and that they have for each student. When we visited work sites, they showed us their projects and we even had the opportunity to try making a cinderblock - and no one could do it except the students! It is very interesting and the potential is great for helping the students get better jobs and improve their standard of living.
